USE In mechanical joint fittings for adapting to PVC or steel pipe (IPS dimensions). Other MJ x transition gaskets are available for SDR35 and PIP.

MATERIALS
MJ x CI GASKET
GASKET NSF compliant SBR per ASTM D 2000 MBA 710, compounded for water and sewer service. Other compounds available on request.
NOTE Known in the industry as an “MJ Gasket.” Meets specifications of AWWA C 111.
USE The gasket is designed to be used in cast iron mechanical joint fittings for cast iron size pipe (ductile iron and C-900 PVC).
PRESSURE RATING Rating of pipe.
MJ x IPS GASKET
GASKET SBR per ASTM D 2000 MBA 710, compounded for water and sewer service. Other compounds available on request.
BACKING RING Heavy gauge 304 stainless steel.
USE The gasket is designed to be used in cast iron mechanical joint fittings for adapting to PVC or steel pipe (IPS dimensions).
PRESSURE RATING 2-12”, up to 350 psi. 14- 24”, up to 10 psi without backing ring, with backing ring 150 psi.
