The Coating Technician II position is a production role responsible for production spray or dip operations involving liquid or powder painting of manufactured products requiring standard finishes. Requires physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Mix paint products as required. Prepare surfaces for painting. Clean and maintain equipment. Inspect completed work and correct defects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform production spray or dip operations involving liquid or powder painting of manufactured products requiring standard finishes.
Must meet defined production expectations and be on-time to schedule.
Follow work instructions, drawings, established quality standards, and established safety protocols.
Load and unload carts.
Perform computer transactions, run dispatch list, and understand and decipher part numbers.
Meet all company work schedule and attendance expectations and perform within the physical and environmental demands of the job.
ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in process improvement events, as directed.
Assist with assembly or other functions within the department as directed.
Attend required meetings.
Participate in physical inventories.
Alert Lead or Assistant Supervisor to material shortages, quality, or safety issues.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Assist other departments with various duties and projects, as directed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Understand oral and written instructions
Strong written and oral communication skills
Can operate an overhead crane under close supervision
Basic math skills
Very basic computer skills
Ability to count accurately
Can read a tape measure
Able to read basic charts and drawings
Able to handle small tools and equipment

Prior production experience
PAY RANGE
$41,200 - $59,700
